Trafficking
We say yes to Combating Human Trafficking. (Trafficking)
Adult women make up almost half (49%) of all victims of human trafficking worldwide. Women and girls together account for 72%, with girls accounting for more than three in four child trafficking victims. Most women and girls are trafficked for sexual exploitation.
Human Trafficking for the purpose of exploitation is internationally recognised as a "modern form of slavery" and a heinous crime that grossly violates human dignity and, on the other hand, is a blatant violation of human rights, exploiting human beings.
The causes of the existence and rapid growth of trafficking are many and varied: On the one hand the "force of evil" is strong and have spread its tentacles everywhere, while on the other hand, wars, violent conflicts, natural disasters, the global economic crisis, unemployment and the plight of poverty, orphans and migration waves in general are easy victims.
If we add to all these the lack of strict legislation for traffickers, the inadequacy of human rights protection mechanisms and the mechanisms of vigilance and repression of the phenomenon, it becomes obvious why trafficking is flourishing today.
